Our Mission:
"To Recognize and Develop High Potential"

Welcome to the SD-AGC Home Page. This site is a viable communication tool for our work with gifted and talented students in South Dakota . Let us know how we can be of more assistance to you as teachers, students, parents and those who support Gifted Education.

In the past 10 years since the repeal of the categorical aid mandate that funded gifted education, we have watched as, one by one, public school districts have cut out gifted education programs. Gifted education programs remain in only 17 public school districts across South Dakota.

Please join with me and other SD-AGC members in increasing support of educational opportunities for gifted and talented students. Every child, including the gifted child, should have an opportunity to learn something new in school every day.

Thank you.
